Values are the map, the direction that shows you what is really important to you and what should be present in your personal and professional life.

They are your engine, your energy, your principles and virtues that indicate how you like to relate and what inspires you.

They are not just words, they are what we fight for and what we stand for most.

Your degree of satisfaction depends on how aligned your values are in your life, as they contribute to generating and maintaining personal well-being.

The following proposals are intended to help you identify your values, understand how you are currently honouring them and finally, create an action plan to align and live them intensely.

Are you ready? Let's get started!

"Try not to be a man of success, but a man of values".

Albert Einstein

Exercise 1. Identify your values (I).

Think of three people who inspire you on a personal level, three more on a professional level and three more on a social level. Now, for each person write down the 3 values you value most in him/her.

From the entire list of values, select only the 5 values that you consider most important.

Exercise 2. Identify your values (II)

Select the 10 values that are most representative and important to you from the following table.

Exercise 3. Prioritise your values.

From this list of values, 5 from the first exercise and 10 from the second exercise, keep 7 and rank them in order of importance.

Exercise 4. Clarify the degree of satisfaction.

Now for each of these values, think: How are you honouring them in your life?

From 1-10 rate your current level of satisfaction for each value.

Exercise 5. Establish the action plan to align your values.

A value with a satisfaction level below 7 indicates that this value is not aligned.

Keep the two values with the lowest level of satisfaction. The ones you consider most important to you at the moment.

For each of these values, define a goal that is motivating, achievable, positive, measurable, specific, realistic and does not conflict with the other values. This goal can drive you to live this value intensely and positively in your life.
